Thomson Vintners is a family owned company, based at Waikerie in South Australia’s Riverland Region. The Thomson family have been growing grapes in the area for over 75 years and are considered one of the regions best vignerons.There are approximately 700 acres under vine some of which supply other major Australian wine companies.
The fruit is highly regarded for its excellent fruit intensity owing to the age of the vineyard.
Thomson’s are committed to constantly improving and developing their product range so that they are able to deliver quality at the commercial or value for money end of the price points. As part of our innovative approach to wines, we planted Tempranillo a few years ago, and have just released our first Cabernet Tempranillo blend, currently the only such blend in Australia. As the vines mature we will eventually produce a varietal Tempranillo as we have great faith in Spain’s premium variety.
