Pennyfield wines is a family owned and operated boutique winery with its own vineyards in South Australia's sunny Riverland region. Abundant sunshine results in consistent ripening conditions for wine grapes and allows the production of rich, full wines with an excellent depth of flavour.
Pennyfield proprietors are passionate about wine quality and handle every step of the production themselves. Red ferments are carried out in the traditional open fermenters with hand plunging to ensure maximum extraction of flavour and colour. All pressing is carried out in manually operated basket presses, imparting a distinctive silky texture to the wines. Carefully selected barrels are used for maturation of up to 18 months before final blending and estate bottling.
These boutique wines are carefully crafted to create distinctive, premium quality products of individual character.
