In the 1930's Burk Salter help his father, Frank, plant the first vineyard in the Blanchetown area. By the mid 1950's Burk and his wife Yvonne had a well established commercial vineyard of their own.
Their son Greg, his wife Jane and sons Ryan and Nathan have redeveloped and extended the vineyard and have gone on to produce their own wine under the label Burk Salter Wines.
Made exclusively from grapes grown on the property and crafted to world class standards, the wines produced have a predominant fruity flavour which brings out the full character of the grapes yet maintaining a fine taste of aged oak and spice flavours.
