Victor Harbor Winery and Vineyards approved in November 1991 was the first winery and estate vineyard established near Victor Harbor in over 100 years.The area enjoys a gentle maritime climate with long dry mild summer's ideal for producing complex cool climate style wines with flavour and characteristics unique to Victor Harbor.
The owners Adrienne and Neville Scott have the plantings of 4 hectares commenced in early 1992/93. The winery produced its first wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon in 1996. The plantings are designed, when in full production, to yield up to 40 tonnes of grapes sufficient to produce 2,000 cases (2,000 dozen) of wine per year.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes are hand picked and hand pruned low yielding vines which are used to produce red, white and fortified wines.
