The restaurant is part of the whole Currency Creek Estate experience, which includes a well equipped tasting room, function centre and across the road, the Currency Creek Vineyard Villas. Our meals couldn't be faulted as chef Michael Duchow, made our mouths water. I had Chicken and the better half, the Salmon. Now I could go into great detail about the meals, and what the heck, I will. My meal was was the Roast Moroccan spiced chicken with date and apricot cous cous drizzled with cardomon and tumeric oil while the Salmon was Atlantic Slamon mignon wrapped in double smoked bacon, served on a leek and potato mash drizzled with a strawberry and red wine vinagrette. All in all a delightful meal and rewarding experience.
The generous helpings certainly left us feeling full and not quite willing to try the desserts. Mind you we were amazed by the sight of the dessert presented to a table further down. They received a Macadamia Nut Parfait, that looked more like the model for some multi-story architecturally designed apartment block. However the ooing and aahing that came from the table led us to believe that we were infact missing out on something astonishing. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it.
