SilverFox Wines - Owned and operated by the Clarke Family in Moama New South Wales has been established since 1998 with it's first planting producing an award winning wine just five years later. Primarily producing Sangiovese and Verdelho, this boutique winery also has plantings of the more traditional Mataro, Brown Muscat, Chardonnay, Cabernet and Shiraz.SilverFox Wines are produced from grapes that are all naturally fertilised with no chemicals pumped into the irrigation system. They also minimise the spraying of weed killers. "Our vineyard has got weeds in it - it happens, weeds grow. But the thing is, they only last a season, and when they die off it opens the ground up, so that the moisture can get in. It naturally self mulches." says Anthony Clarke.
